Our programs are structured to
engage with different stakeholders
within the whole eco system
and across the school life.
We often find ourselves cribbing about the system, but very few make the
attempt to change it. So the question we ask is what would it take to
improve the education system?
But it is easier said than done! Education, the wicked problem that is is,
is a tough domain to work in. But we are sure about one thing and that is that
only a systemic level change can help in this quest.
The key is to understand the different stakeholders, and their viewpoints about
the education system.
A lack of this understanding often ends up in trying to solve the wrong problem.
Solutions are nevere easy, and are oten dependent on many other factors and
actors within the same ecosystem.
Project Jigyasa organises creative activity sessions across the schools to address the lack of motivation amongst children and arouses an interest through means of workshops. Engaging with crafts, book designing, typography, art adds immense value to develop the motor skills of the children.

In spite of the high number of students in schools in India today, the quality of education remains poor. A class 5 student is not able to read properly and the only motivation for them to come to school remains the mid-day meals. Lack of interest and motivation in education also results in drop out from schools.

As proponents of alternative learning, we strongly believe in the power of learning through videos and other media. For many children who have never seen a film before, the excitement leads to increased motivation for something to look forward to always. The screenings are followed up by discussions on what they saw and learnt from these films.

India has the highest number of youth population in the world. Unfortunately, a lot of the youth do not get the necessary guidance to excel. We have an utmost responsibility to upskill the youth and inspire them to be local changemakers and source of information for the children in schools.

These are public seminars designed to engage the different stakeholders in the system to engage in dialogue for the better career choices and opportunities for the children. Students often do not pursue a career because either they are not aware of the prospects or are just happy to follow the crowd. Seminar comprises of lectures and panel discussion.

A program designed to empower the youth with the understanding of technology and its usages. The program runs in collaboration with the schools and computer centres in the small towns and villages. Students are also provided a certificate at the end of the course. The course is taught by young professionals trained by us.

We welcome volunteers from around the world, having a strong connect with the cause that we support. You could be engaged on location or remotely and should have a strong desire to learn.
